Mitja Gasparini was born on 26 June 1984, He started his volleyball career in club of OK IZOLA. He played there in second division. He was soon recognized as great volleyball potential by others coaches and he changed from OK IZOLA, to OK OLIMPIJA from Ljubljana in season 2003/2004.In this season he also started to play for senior national team of Slovenia.In 2015 Slovenia, including Mitja, won gold medal of European League 2015.
