Fabian Plak is the younger brother of Celeste Plak, one of the stars of the Dutch national women’s team. Plak is gifted with a lot of talent as well, and head coach Gido Vermeulen recognized this. Plak made his debut in the national team in 2016 when he was only 18 years old, making him the youngest player in the team. The talented middleblocker played 26 international matches so far. Plak started playing volleyball at De Boemel in Tuitjenhorn and received an important part of his volleyball education from Olympic gold medal winner Ron Zwerver.
