Dirk Sparidans is currently the first libero in the Dutch team. He made his debut in the national team in 2010. In 2016 he earned a place in the ‘starting seven’ from coach Gido Vermeulen. Sparidans played 57 matches for his country so far. In the 2016-2017 season he played for Vase Kladno in the Czech Republic, together with Daan van Haarlem. Sparidans started playing volleyball at VC Sarto in the city of Tilburg.
