IlyasKurkayev was born 18 January 1994. Since 2010 Ilyas lived in Barnaul and trained in sports school. In January, 2012 was invited in Novosibirsk "Lokomotiv".
In September, 2013 IlyasKurkayev as a part of youth team of Russia won the World Cup and was included by organizers in the symbolical national team of a tournament.
In July 2015 as a part of student's Russian national team Ilyasbecame the winner of Universiade in Gwangju and soon after was included into the national team.
