Egypt started off strong in the first two sets, utilising their strong serve. Egypt had an eight-point advantage in the opening set, then closed out the second set with three blocks in a row.
The Netherlands finally came to their senses and started to execute their plays well. The Dutch badly needed to win the third frame and they successfully did with a huge point difference, then took the fourth set with great coverage of net and floor defence. They succeeded in forcing a tie-breaker.

Egypt tried its best but it was obvious that they ran out of strength to overcome the Netherlands. After the deadlock of 10-all, the Netherlands took every opportunity to score and earned five points in a row to end the set and match.
