Opposite Wouter ter Maat is the rising star of the Dutch volleyball team. The point machine from Rijssen made his debut in the national team in 2016, and he played 29 international matches so far. In the 2016-2017 season Ter Maat played for Berlin Recycling Volleys, and with this club he qualified for the Final Four of the CEV Champions League in Rome. Ter Maat started playing volleyball in his hometown Rijssen at Rivo.
