Argentina take on Bulgaria for 29th time in history

 

Lausanne, Switzerland, June 18, 2017 - Bulgaria play Argentina for the 29th time Sunday in Cordoba in an official competition, with the record standing at 19-9 in favour of the European side. Hosts Argentina, at 2-6 this season, are out of contention for a ticket to the Fina Six, but depending on other results Bulgaria could still be in with a chance.

Head-to-Head
• Argentina and Bulgaria prepare for their 29th major encounter and their second one this year after a 3-2 win by Argentina in the opening weekend of the World League.
• Bulgaria won 19 of the previous 28 major encounters between these teams.
• Argentina won three of the last four major encounters between these teams, each in the World League, by 3-0, 3-1 and 3-2. Bulgaria won the other in straight sets.

Argentina
