An important cultural, political and economic hub, Curitiba is home to over 1.8 million people. Situated 930 metres above sea level, the city enjoys a subtropical highland climate.

The World League Finals will be played at the Arena da Baixada, a stadium which was rebuilt for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Home to football team Clube Atlético Paranaense, it has a retractable roof and will be configured to ensure fans enjoy a true festival of volleyball.
