Sander is a 2016 Olympic bronze medalist. Sander’s parents are Steve
and Kera Sander. Taylor has one brother, Brenden, and one sister, Britney. Brenden
has competed for USA Volleyball and BYU. Taylor Sander made his debut with the
senior U.S. Men's National Team at the 2014 NORCECA World Championship
Qualifier and was named Best Server as the U.S. Men won. During the 2014 World
League he became a starter when Reid Priddy injured his knee during the first
weekend. Sander was named MVP of the Final Round as the U.S. Men won the gold
medal. In 2015, Sander helped the U.S. win the FIVB World Cup. Sander was a
member of the U.S. youth and junior national teams. He played four years for
BYU 2011-2014 and was named the AVCA Player of the Year in 2014. Sander has
played professionally in Italy and China.
