Dustin Watten was born in 1986 and grew up in Long Beach, California.
He attended Wilson High School, which he helped to a league championship. He
played college volleyball at Long Beach State University where he set records with
358 digs and a 3.25 digs-per-set average. He won gold medals with the 2009,
2010 and 2012 Pan American Cup teams. In 2014, he joined the senior national
team and helped it win the FIVB World League. In 2015, he was part of the teams
that finished third at World League and won the World Cup. He is an
accomplished beach volleyball player. He has brothers named Cody and Chris. His
parents are Kim and Jeff Watten. Watten follows a vegan diet.
