We played without mistakes, says Brazil's Bruno

Brasil team after the win

Varna, Bulgaria, June 10, 2017 - Brazil saw off Poland 3-1 (25-21, 25-20, 17-25, 25-19) in the FIVB Volleyball World League while their captain Bruno Rezende stressed "volleyball without mistakes".

Brazil captain Bruno Rezende: We played very good volleyball today without mistakes. We were contra attacking well. In the third set Poland has a strong team in the block and it was difficult to attack against them. We got this victory which Is really important for us and our team, so now we hope to have another victory tomorrow.

Brazil player Ricardo Lucarelli: We didn’t play well in our first match against Poland in Italy previous week of the World League and we lose 2-3, but today we did less mistakes and it was the key to our victory. We will face Bulgaria tomorrow and it will be definitely a tough match. Now we have to rest and I hope we will win again despite the fact that the arena will be full and all spectators will scream for the hosts. We, the players love these atmospheres and I’m excited for our next challenge.

Poland player Bartlomiej Lemanski: Brazil played really well in the first two sets and for us was really hard to make something. We had many problems with their serving and blocking. In the third we started to play better and we won it but unfortunately in the fourth we made too many mistakes. Now we should prepare on the best way for our next match against Canada tomorrow.

Poland player Artur Szalpuk:
We lost the game and this is the most important thing. I have no idea why we couldn’t score many times and we are a bit angry now. We will watch the video and discuss the game and we will try to prepare better for the next match.
