"Canada’s podium debut was unforgettable as they defeated their neighbours, USA, 3-1 (18-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-21) to finish third and complete a phenomenal achievement. I am sure those bronze medals felt like gold," added President Graça.

"My sincerest thanks go to Brazil for hosting the FIVB World League Finals for a sixth time. The Arena da Baixada football stadium in Curitiba, that hosted matches of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, staged an amazing tournament this year and provided a first-class volleyball experience for our passionate fanbase.

"Now our focus moves to the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix which began last week. I am sure that the women’s competition will bring us the same high level of intensity as the top nations pursue their dream of becoming champions.

"Like the 2017 FIVB World League, all of the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix matches are available on the FIVB YouTube channel. We are committed to providing access to countries where the FIVB does not have a broadcasting partner.

"Best wishes to all the winners of the 2017 FIVB World League and participants of the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix."
