Plan minimum achieved, says Stephane Antiga

Novi Sad, Serbia June 3, 2017 - Stephane Antiga admits on lack of consistency of team Canada, but is still happy that the team recorded two victories thus far.

Canada coach, Stephane Antiga - “It is a pretty new USA team, and we, of course, have some new players and the new system of play. We have to improve, without a doubt. We are not consistent, but I am satisfied. We have two victories from two matches and before the tournament we expected at least one win. Serbia is a favourite in the last match, for sure. Overall, I am pretty happy.”

Canada captain, John Gordon Perrin - “This was an ugly match on both sides. We all made a lot of mistakes and the team who had more luck won in the end.”

USA coach, John Speraw - “It takes some time to put everything in order. We were not playing well, that’s for sure. We were struggling with service, we gave out a lot of easy points. But I have to say that we have fine young players, they will continue improving.”

USA captain, Kawika Shoji - “We did some good things in this match. We have to keep our focus, that is the main problem. We have to learn to be more consistent during the match.”
