Poland rebuilt themselves after Thursday's 0-3 loss against Russia, to defeat Iran in straight sets

Łódź, Poland, June 17, 2017 - Poland defeated Iran in straight sets and got a revenge for the loss in Pesaro, Italy two weeks ago 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-22).

Poland coach, Ferdinando De Giorgi:Today we were eager to play a very different game than the lasttime. I am very happy that my players were focused and stayed in the game and would like to congratulate them. It was visible that they want to play a different match and of course I am glad that we earned these three points.

Poland opposite spiker, Dawid Konarski: We are happy with this victory and, what is most important, with our own game. We do not think about the advancing to Final Six yet. if we win on Sunday, we will go to Curitiba, but we have to play against USA like we played today against Iran. We fought from the first till the last ball. It is important that we played a really consistent game. We can finally call it volleyball.

Poland libero, Paweł Zatorski: We are very happy with this victory. For sure we played better than on Thursday, focused on our game we made less mistakes. We did not feel the worst after the match against Russia, so now we do not feel the best in the world after tonight. Our coach teaches us to stay focused on each game and on play better with each match.

Iran coach, Igor Kolakovic: First of all I want to congratulate Poland on the 3-0 victory. Poland were better than us in all elements. We can say we did not play good, but we play as good as opponent let us. In the last set we had an opportunity, but Poland put pressure on serve, especially to the second zone. I don't want to speak about our problems, because the result is clear.

Iran captain, Mir Saied Marouflakrani: I don't know what to say because we made too many mistakes. Our opponents were better in every element. Only in the third set we played ourvolleyball. Poland had a good day, they serve well and we had problem with reception.
