Pesaro, Italy, 2 Jun, 2017 - Poland's head coach was understandably happy with his team after a four-set win against Italy on Saturday.
Poland head coach Ferdinando De Giorgi: " I’m happy about this victory because the team is building up its own identity. Difficult matches like this confirm that we are on the right path to achieve very good results. I know my team has got skills and personality, I think tonight we demonstrated it."
Poland player Bartlomiej Lemanski: "In the first set we made too many mistakes in serving and spiking. This is a very good result for us because we did our best. I was surprised to see so many Polish supporters here in Pesaro, I hope they will join us tomorrow as well. We have already played against Iran 3 weeks ago, so we know how to approach the match. It won’t be easy but I hope we will win."
