Argentina coach Julio Velasco said: "I am happy to be here again in Iran. We have a difficult group. I hope we can play good volleyball. We have some problems with our players who are not here in this tournament. But it is very important for us to improve after Olympic games with young players and to get confidence against the first level teams like Iran, Serbia, and Belgium."
Belgium coach Vital Heynen said: "I was here in 2013 and I was really impressed. I told my players this time so many positive things about Iran and we are going to have a great match in front of 12000 people. I try to make joy because it was really a big experience the last time. I remember once we lost and I also remember the victory. I hope to play that way to have a great start. My players are all looking forward to play in Iran especially against the host - that will be something different."
Iran coach Igor Kolakovic said: "First of all, I want to say that I am so happy I found the opportunity to play at home before our great spectators in the second week of the World League. I hope we play good volleyball."
Serbia coach Nikola Grbic said: "Today volleyball is equal and there is no favourite. You only need five minutes to win or lose a set or a game if you lose your concentration. So, in every match you need to be a 100 per cent concentrated. My first goal is to play as best as possible against Argentina. We are in a tough and difficult group but I expect good volleyball"
