The opening set was a closely-contested affair with both team determined to build up advantage. In the end, it was Belgium, who managed to hold on to their narrow lead and take the set with a five-point advantage.
The second set saw a dominant performance by Belgium led by Sam Deroo. The home side found themselves unable to keep up with the visitors and eventually conceded the set, 25-18.
The final set was a true nail-biter. With the crowd's support Serbia were able to challenge Belgium up until the very finish to the set. In the end, it was the visitors who displayed a bit more determination winning the set, 25-23.
