Anestis Dalakouras began playing volleyball at age 11 in the Club Ethnikos Alexandroupolis Academies. He still plays in Ethnikos, with which he has conquered 3 Pre-Youth Championships, 3 Youth Championships and 3 Junior ones.
In season 2012-2013 he participated with his team in the Play-Offs of the Greek Championship and in the League Cup Final Four. In season 2013-2014 his team finished 2nd in the Greek Championship, competed in the League Cup Final Four and managed to rise up to the best 8 of Challenge Cup. Next season, 2014-2015 he conquered with Ethnikos the 2nd position in League Cup and once more arrived at the best 8 of Challlenge Cup, something that was repeated next year in 2015-2016.
He is now a player of SK Posojilnica AICH/Dob.

In 2009 he was first called in the National Youth Men team with which he ranked 1st in Balkan Championship, 6th in European Championship and 7th in World Championship, while with the Junior Men National team he ranked 9th in the European Championship and participated in the qualification matches of World Championship.
He is a member on the National Men team since 2014 when the team ranked 2nd in the European League.  In 2015 he participated always as member of the National team in the European League and in World League.
