Lausanne, Switzerland, June 2, 2017 - Venezuela failed to arrive on time in Frankfurt for their opening match in Group 3, Pool C of the FIVB World League 2017 and as a consequence forefeited the game 3-0 (25-0, 25-0, 25-0) to Austria.
Austria are making their debut in the World League this year.
Venezuela have now arrived in Frankfurt and are expected to play their remaining two matches in the German city as originally scheduled, on Saturday against Kazakhstan and on Sunday against hosts Germany.
