Tallinn, Estonia, June 9, 2017 - After a straight-set win over Greece Venezuela team captain José Carrasco praized his teams defense and overall preparation of the team.
Venezuela captain José Carrasco: We are happy with the victory and our preparation for these matches is far better than for them that we played last week. We are prepared to win every match this weekend. I think our edge came from that we managed to start capitalize counter-attacks and played a good defense. In the third set Greece started to risk more and made more mistakes. We on the other hand stayed calm.
Greece coach Konstantinos Arseniadis: It was a bad game from us. We had very low percentages in both reception and attack. Also we made many errors. Maybe if we had managed to win the second set, the match outcome would have been different.
