Morocco and Qatar played a friendly match in Marrakesh on Thursday, May 4
Lausanne, Switzerland, May 5, 2017 – The men’s national teams of Morocco and Qatar played a friendly match in Marrakesh, where members of the FIVB Board of Administration and FIVB Athletes’ Commission president Gilberto “Giba” Amauri de Godoy Filho graced the occasion on Thursday night, May 4.
The Morocco and Qatar national team members had the chance to meet up with Brazil star Giba, who joined them and some technical officials for a group photo.
The friendly match will serve as preparation for Qatar’s campaign in Group 3 of the 2017 FIVB Volleyball World League, where they are grouped in Pool A3 with Spain, Greece and Mexico.
The Qataris will compete in the premier annual men’s tournament from June 2 to 11. They will make their second appearance this year, following a seventh-place finish in their 2016 debut.
