Massimiliano Giaccardi trusted that their tactics worked very well against
Venezuela in the 3-1 marathon in the FIVB Volleyball World League.
“The key to winning this game game was at the second set. We prepared well for this game and followed the things we talked about in our meeting. Tactically we challenged Venezuela very well. In the first and third sets, they pushed us more with their serve and we struggled.”
Venezuela player Fernando Gonzalez: “We made too many mistakes today. That made the difference. About the marathon set, when I looked at the scoreboard, at one moment I thought it could be a World League record. The whole tournament was difficult for us because we did not have good preparation.”
