Tallinn, Estonia, June 9, 2017. Hosts of the World League D3 tournament started with a firm 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-20) victory over Qatar. Estonian team head coach Gheorghe Creţu said that his team made too many errors in the third set but he was happy how they managed to come out of the situation.

Estonia coach Gheorghe Creţu: It all depends how we step inside the game. In the last set Qatar scored on our errors but I am happy that our guys were able to step over them. We have very good block-defense and every opponent has difficulties to score against us in long rallies.

Qatar coach Massimiliano Giaccardi: We played against team who is very well organized and very strong in serve. We prepared some things and some time in all sets they worked but all in all Estonia was just too strong for us. Difference between the two teams was evident. But I am sure that if we can play on this kind of level we could challenge Greece and Venezuela. In conclusion playing in this kind of tournament is unusual for us and we enjoy every moment of it.
