Austria coach Warm: I am very proud of this team

Linz, Austria, June 9 - In front of 3500 spectators in the TipsArena in Linz, Austria won its first FIVB World League home match versus Germany 3:1 (25:20, 27:29, 30:28, 25:23). Accordingly, the cheers could not be failed to hear.

Austria captain Peter Wohlfahrtst├Ątter: What an atmosphere! Today, we managed to win the close sets, too. The match was on a knife-edge all the time. What a great feeling to retaliate for the loss in Frankfurt!

Austria coach Michael Warm: Today, we were better for a bit. I am so proud of this team. We have learned from the defeat in the first match. This was the next important step for our team. Now, we can be happy for a moment, but we must prepare for Mexico, too. After all, we want to continue to delight this awesome crowd in Linz!

Germany topscorer Simon Hirsch: Austria has shown a very well performance. Berger was a phenomenal one today. Our team has not worked as a team today.

Germany coach Andrea Giani: We did it not very well today. The team must learn, even if it does not work, to believe in their strengths and not only to react but also to act.
