Beau first started playing volleyball at the age of 14 for a school team while attending Iona College in Brisbane. His first selection for a state team was the under 15s queensland team to play in the Australian Junior state tournament in July that year. Later he was selected for a training scholarship at the Queensland Academy of Sport at the age of 15 and for three years he trained there while making the under 17s and under 19s Queensland state teams. His first debut to represent australia was in 2011 when he made the Australian Junior mens volleyball team to play as a middleblocker which was held in Thailand. At the age of 18 he was offered a volleyball scholarship at the Australian Institute of Sport and has and still trains there till this day.
His first break into the Senior Mens Volleyball Team as a middle was in 2012 for the Asian Volleyball Cup held in Vietnam, the same year he represented Australia again for the Australian junior team in the Asian Junior Mens Chamionships in Iran. Again in 2013 he played for Australia in the World University games held in Kazan, Russia in July and than for VTAM for the Asian senior Mens Volleyball Champs held in Dubai in october. 
He moved to professional volleyball with a first contract in Romania , followed by a season in Sweden.
In 16/17, he has been playing in Greece with Gas Pamvochaikos.
