Volleyball was introduced to me at a young age through my dad, he played volleyball for most of his life and he got me into it. Most afternoons when dad got home from work I would muck around with him in the backyard and that’s when it all started.
At the age of 13, I joined Baulkham hills volleyball club and trained with a group of young guys every Sunday afternoon. At this point Volleyball was just another sport I was playing, it wasn’t until I started getting selected for state teams until I became serious about the sport.
2012 was the year I stopped playing Basketball and football and focused completely on volleyball and the main reason for that was because I was selected for the Australian Youth team to tour Bangkok, Thailand and Iran for the Asian Youth Championships. Later that year I played as the second setter for the AIS team in the Australian Volleyball League where we won the gold medal against QLD. After the AVL season I was luckily enough to be offered an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship which would mean I would move to Canberra in 2013 and train full-time with other AIS scholarship holders.
Moving down to Canberra and training full time developed my game at a quick pace in comparison to my improvements being made at home and that was because of the elite coaching and environment here in Canberra. In 2013 I was selected for the Under 23s Australian team to represent the country at the World Championships in Uberlandia, Brazil. That was my highest achievement in 2013 alongside receiving the AIS scholarship.
I moved to Finland in 2014, where I played for the last 3 club seasons.
I have represented Australia at the 2014 AVC Cup, 2015 U23 Asian Championship, 2015 University Games and 2016 AVC Cup
