Three wins at home is the goal for Turkey

Ankara, Turkey, June 3, 2017 – Turkey have already won two in two, but their goal for this weekend’s World League tournament in Ankara is three victories on home court, said their coach and their captain after Saturday’s shutout of Egypt.

Josko Milenkoski, coach of Turkey: "We played better than yesterday. Egypt are a tough team, but we managed everything well on the court. We were better in serving and reception. Now we have the Netherlands game tomorrow. Our goal is to finish this weekend’s matches with three wins."

Arslan Eksi, captain of Turkey: "Today we created the chance to play good volleyball. It seems easy when you look at the score, but it wasn't. Egypt are a respectful team. I think we gained a good victory today. Now we have to focus on the Netherlands match. They lost against China today and they are going to try to beat us. But our goal is to earn three wins at home and go forward with good morale."

Ibrahim Fakhreldin Mohamed, coach of Egypt: "We could not play positive volleyball today. We tried our best in some part of the game, but if you want a victory, you must have continuity. Turkey are a well organised team. I want to congratulate them for the win!"
