Jan Hadrava led his team with points in what was a joyous end of a weekend of volleyball for the home fans as Czech Republic quickly saw off Portugal in straight sets.
Portugal’s
Lourenco Martins was once again his team’s top scorer, finishing the night with points on Sunday.

Media GuidesThe first set started better for the home side when they built a little advantage which was held for the whole set. Portugal never took at least temporary lead and Czech Republic won the first set 25:21.
The second set was almost a repeat of the first one. Czech Republic held a two-point advantage from the early stages of the set. Portugal’s many errors made them incapable of truly resisting the home side and they conceded the set with another 25-21.
In the third set the hosts played a relaxed, confident volleyball holding a comfortable lead right from the outset. They quickly closed out the match at 25-16 in the final set.
