Focus was important in this title victory - Urnaut

Slovenian top scorer Klemen Cebulj kept his concentration from the service line in their match against Japan in the World League Group 2 finals

Gold Coast, Australia, June 25, 2017 – Slovenia captain Tine Urnaut said that their focus in the game against Japan played a key role in their 2017 FIVB Volleyball Group 2 title victory.

“We played very focused and that was the most important thing in this game. Our side-out was really good and we played it on a high level. Although we did not do anything special with our serve, we managed to score a lot on those. We did well on block-defence, which enabled us to facilitate a good counter-attack.”

Slovenia coach Slobodan Kovac: “I am really satisfied because we played really good games in this Group 2 Finals. We really played high-quality volleyball. Working on this World League campaign, I have to put high importance on the motivation of my players. For us, this is the most important competition and we will do everything to win. I want to congratulate my players for doing a tremendous job in maintaining their level, after playing in four continents for this competition.”
