Helsinki, Finland, June 8, 2017 – Australia’s coach Mark Lebedew was happy with the serves of his team and the way the team improved from the last weekend after beating China 3-0.

Australia coach Mark Lebedew: I am very happy with the match today. I think we had a little bit bad taste in our mouth of the last match of the last weekend. Now we played well and enjoyed to play. I am happy with all parts of the game, especially how we played the long rallies.

Australia player Paul Carroll: We executed our game very well. We were much better that in the last week. We were ready to fight and China didn’t play their top volleyball. We played good volleyball and served better than last weekend. I really wait for the next matches against Slovakia and Finland.

China coach Raul Lozano: Australia deserved victory. They played very consistently in block and we didn’t know how to attack. They deserved the victory. China played at the level of possibilities and we must perform better in the next matches here in Helsinki.

China player Zhong Weijun: We didn’t play very well. Australia was very good. Before the match we didn’t think that Australia can play that good. We didn’t follow enough the instructions of our coach.
