Täht scores 18 points for Estonia in a three-set win against Montenegro

 

Bijelo Polje, Montenegro, 4 Jun, 2017 - It was a one-man show on Sunday with Robert Täht scoring 18 points, including 14 in attack in the three sets his team needed to beat Montenegro.

Home crowd favourite, Marko Bojic, disappointed, but still finished the night with the most points, 7, for Montenegro.


Montenegro started the first set very well with a three-point lead at the first technical time-out(8-5). Soon after, the Estonian team equalized at 10-10 and then took a lead of their own, 14-11. The visiting team managed to build on their lead from then on finishing the set confidently, 25-18.




In the second set Estonia earned a lead early on with powerful attacks and were six points up (16-10) at the second technical time out. They kept on applying the pressure and snatched the set at 25-16.





The home side managed to stay in play at the beginning of the third set, with the score tied at 6-all. From then on, however, only one team played well and Estonia quickly took a 13-7 lead before finishing the match with 25-13 in the final set.
