Sergio Noda headed the offensive actions of hosts as Qatar focused their playing system in their middleblockers’ efficiency in the thrilling and disputed first set. With 21-21 in the scoreboard at the end of the period, a four-point run by the local side with Noda in stellar mode was all that Spain needed to achieve the 25-21 and 1-0.
