Kravarik: Team spirit and luck were key against Australia

Poprad, Slovakia, 3 Jun 2017 - Slovakian head coach Andrej Kravarik admits his team needed a bit of luck to overcome Australia 3-1 on Saturday.

Slovakia head coach Andrej Kravarik: "It was hard fought win today. Australia is very strong team, they played in Group 1 of World League last year and they have experience. We got help from bench today and all 14 players was incredible. We had some piece of luck, but in sports you need it. My players was great today and we are happy. The atmosphere in the arena was incredible and I want to thank out fans."

Slovakia spiker Tomas Krisko:
"We are very happy, it was very difficult match. Australia played very good in defence and it was though to attack. Very important was third set. Our service today was very good, we put them under the pressure."

Australia head coach Mark Lebedew: "I am really happy about the performance of my team today. You know, sometimes you play well but it is not enough to win the match. The reason why captain Paul Carroll was not playing today is simple. Many matches is behind us, and still waiting for us and we need to make changes in the team match to match."
