The Hague, Netherlands, June 18, 2017 – Concentration in the final set helped Korea defeat Slovakia 3-2 (25-18, 18-25, 25-18, 20-25, 15-7) on Sunday.
Korean coach Hochul Kim: “I told my players that concentration was the key to win the tie. They clearly succeeded in that mission.”
Min Gyu Lee of Korea: “We began great, but got nervous in the second set. Fortunately we managed to retrieve ourselves.” Lee was impressed by the tournament in the Netherlands. “It is really different than in Korea, we had to adjust to the different circumstances like loud music. But we like it here a lot!”
Slovakian coach Palgut: “Our problem was that despite of three perfect passes of the Korean services, we were not able to score the side out. And when you start with an error of five points, it is almost impossible to bend it over again.”
