Tallinn, Estonia, June 11, 2017 - The hosts had to put everything on the table in the last match of 2017 FIVB World League Group three Pool D to secure their place in the competition´s Final Four tournament. Eventually they beat Greece by 3-2 (25-13, 21-25, 22-25, 25-17, 15-12).
Robert Täht scored 19 points paving the way for his team’s tiebreak win against Greece on Saturday. Greece’s
Rafail Koumentakis matched Taht's scoring achievement, but his team came up just short in the final set of the match.

Media GuidesThe first set was really lopsided. After a point from Andrus Raadik Estonia led 5-2. Although Paraskevas Tselios hit an ace and reduced the gap to 5-7, it was the last time when Greece was in a striking distance in the opening period. Estonia made an impressive 5-0 spurt and eventually won the set 25-13. The last point came through block.
In the second set Greece took big risks in serve and offense and that paid off. They netted four straight points in service and took the set by 25-21. Koumentakis shined in offense where he gathered six points, Menelaos Kokkinakis added five. Two of them were aces.
The visitors continued on a high note and succeeded in almost everything. Their serve was still good and also the fight they showed in defense. Having trailed almost the whole third set Estonia levelled the score at 19-all but Greece netted two straight points and held the lead.
In the fourth set it was
Renee Teppan who gave the hosts the much needed spark. He scored the first point and also managed to bring the score to 3-1, 11-6 and 13-10. After that Estonia controlled the set and eventually won it 25-17. Teppan put six points on the board in the fourth set.
The decisive set was close until 4-4 but then Estonia grabbed the lead for good. Teppan ended the game with an ace.
