Hamza Nagga scored 20 points in Tunisia’s 3-2 win over Montenegro at the end of a fascinating volleyball weekend in Tunis.
Aleksandar Minic of Montenegro was the night’s top scorer with 24 points, all of them in attack.

Media GuidesThe score was tied for the most part of the opening set. At 16-all the hosts began building their advantage. They first built a two-point lead which they then managed to extend thanks to good blocks and an ace. The finished the set at 25-20.
Montenegro were not able to regroup for the second set. After a close start, they handed the lead to Tunisia through their own errors, making it 10-7 for the home side. Confident play by Tunisia coupled with further Montenegrin mistakes allowed the African side to build a nearly double-digit lead. In a last-ditch attempt Montenegro managed to save four set points in a row, before conceding the set, 25-20.
In the third set saw more of competitive volleyball with the scored tied up until the second technical time-out, at which point Montenegro went 16-14 up. They were able to hold on to that lead and even extend it to 22-19 at one point. Tunisia were unwilling to let the set slip away, however, and quickly came back to tie the score at 22-all. Still, the visitors were able to clinch the set, with a powerful block making it 25-23.
The fourth set was once again a closely-contested affair. Tunisia managed to break away to a two-point lead at 16-14, before Montenegro tied things up again at 18-all. Both teams traded points until 22-all when the visitors snatched three in a row, and the set, 25-22.
The fans expected the tiebreaker to be another nail-biter, but the home team surprised them by jumping ahead, 7-3. The continued by building on that lead and eventually won the final set in a few minutes, 15-7.
