Varna, Bulgaria, 10 Jun, 2017 – Bulgaria’s coach was understandable disappointed following his team’s loss to Canada at home.
Plamen Konstantinov, coach of Bulgaria – We missed a lot of chances during the whole match. We had our opportunities in all sets but we didn’t used them. Georgi Bratoev had a muscle problem in the fourth set and I had to sub him but I must congratulate Canada. Actually, they played really well today.
Stephane Antiga, coach of Canada - I didn’t expect my team will play so well during all game. I am impressed with Bulgaria’s game as well. I am pleased not only with the result but I am also happy because we are growing as a team and we start playing high-level volleyball. Tomorrow’s game will be special for me. It’s motivating to play against my ex-team. I hope that tomorrow will play on the same level and hope to make another great result.
