Russia claimed victory against Iran on Sunday to claim a place at the Finals in Curitiba, Brazil
Lausanne, Switzerland, June 21, 2017 - FIVB President Graça congratulated the teams progressing to the Group 1 and 2 finals after another excellent week of action in the 2017 FIVB World League that brought high intensity to the competition and also saw Estonia claim honours in Group 3.
It is set up to be Europe v Americas as France, Brazil, Serbia, Russia, Canada and USA all earned places in the 2017 FIVB World League Group 1 Final Six which will take place in Curitiba, Brazil, from July 4 to 8.

The Group 2 Final Four that will be held in Gold Coast, Australia from June 24 to 25, were also confirmed this weekend. Slovenia, Netherlands, Australia and Japan are set to battle it out to achieve their dream of becoming champions.

In Group 3 competition debutants Estonia came out on top as they defeated Spain in straight-sets, while Germany claimed bronze with a victory over the hosts, Mexico.
"Week Three truly was a fantastic week of competition and produced some amazing statistics," added President Graça.
Passionate crowds witnessed 6,789 points scored across the three groups, giving a total of 25,196 points scored in the Qualification Round. The highest scoring match of the week came in Group 1 on June 17 as USA and Russia totaled 230 points across five sets, with this week’s top scorer, Taylor Sander from USA, scoring 28 points. The highest scoring set of the week came in Group 2 as China beat Turkey 43-41.
