China coach Lozano satisfied with the match against Australia

Post-match press conference (CHN-AUS)

Kunshan, China, June 17, 2017- China delighted the crowd with the second home victory in a row on Saturday night by achieving a 3-1 (17-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-17) win over Australia.

China coach Raul Lozano: This is an important game and I am satisfied with the result. But I want to say that the level of the game is not good enough. We didn't play our best in a single aspect. Australia's starting squad was quite different, and we didn't prepare for that, so besides the victory, I am not satisfied with the performance of my players.

China captain Zhong Weijun: I think we played better than yesterday, we did good in serving and blocking. The Australian team changed their lineup, they put some key players on the bench. Next game we will face Japan, our traditional opponent in Asia, so we have to prepare well.

Australia coach Mark Lebedew: Congratulations to China, they obviously deserved to win the game. I also want to thank the organizers here, they hold good games and had nice crowd. I think we played quite well today, did all the things we need to do. The players kept calm in the important moments especially in the third set. I think the third set is the key, we fought to control the game against China, but we miss some chances, lost some serves. It is mentally difficult for us to fight back, but the players tried until the last point.

Australia captain Paul Carroll: China played hard today, they fought harder than last week, I think this is because of they are playing at home. Our receiving was not well today, they hit many good services. If you didn't played your best, you lost.
