Dal Zotto calls up 12 players for training camp

 

Olympic champions Brazil will among the favourites to win the 2017 edition of the FIVB Volleyball World League

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, April 11, 2017 - The new coach of the Brazilian men's volleyball team, Renan Dal Zotto, has called up 12 players to participate in a training camp at the Volleyball Development Center (CDV) in Saquarema, Rio de Janeiro. They will begin work on April 23. The team's first commitment this year comes in the form of the FIVB Volleyball World League, which begins on June 2.

Rio 2016 Olympic Games gold medallists Brazil will begin their 2017 World League campaign in Pool A1 in Pesaro, Italy when they will take on Poland, Iran and hosts Italy. In the second week, Brazil will play Canada, Poland and Bulgaria in Varna, Bulgaria, before they travel to Cordoba, Argentina for week three where they will play against Bulgaria, Argentina and Serbia.
 
The following players were called up by Dal Zotto: Murilo Radke (Montes Claros Voley), Thiago Veloso (Thiaguinho) (Exprivia Molfetta, Italy), Flávio Gualberto (Minas Tênis Clube), Wennder Lopes (São Bernardo Voley), Thiago Barth (SESC-RJ), João Rafael (Exprivia Molfetta, Italy), Alisson Melo (Lebes Gedore Canoas), Rafael Araújo (MKS Bedzin, Poland), Renan Buiatti (JF Vôlei), Luan Weber (Montes Claros Vôlei), Thales Hoss (Lebes Gedore Canoas) and Felipe Lourenço (Copel Telecom Maringá).

Brazil's men's team for 2017 will be finalised after the end of the Brazilian Super League.
