Ivovic finished the night with 16 points while Atanasijevic's finally tally was 15. On the other side of the net Stephen Timothy Maar enjoyed a good game scoring 16 points.

The match started exactly the way the home fans had hoped. With Serbia strong in block and Canada unable to reign in unforced errors the home side were able to win the first tight set, 25-23 and 25-21, respectively.

The third set saw more of closely-contested action, until mid-set, when the visitors finally were able to block the Serbian stars and score a few points in a row taking a 16-10 lead at the second technical time-out. Serbia were never able to mount a comeback in the third set and lost, 25-20.

The fourth set also started well for Canada with two consecutive Vigrass aces giving them an 8-5 lead. Spurred on by the very loud home crow Serbia found their rhythm in block once again and quickly tied things up at 11-all. In the latter stages of the set powerful spikes by Atanasijevic and Ivovic coupled with more unforced mistakes by Canada allowed Serbia to claim the set, 25-20.
